New application for the electronic issue and dispatch by post of personalized ATHENACard to first-year students

In the context of measures for the protection of citizens from Covid-19 and a smooth and more safe service for the students, OASA facilitates the issue / renewal of personalized cards for the students of the academic year 2020-2021, without the eligible students having to visit the ticket counters.

Issue of personalized cards to first-year students of Higher Education Institutions

On 20 September a web application shall be put into service on the ATHENACard website, enabling the first-year student to fill out the electronic form of application for the issue of the personalized card with a student profile.
Upon submission of the application and verification of the relevant supporting documents, the procedure of the electronic issue of the personalized card will follow, with a student profile.
Then, the card will be placed into an envelope and will be sent free of charge to the eligible student by post – registered mail at the address stated by the latter.

-Renewal of personalized cards for current students of Higher Education Institutions

The entitlement to discount fare shall be automatically extended to all student personalized cards until 31.12.2020, without the eligible students having to visit the ticket vendors of the Organization.

-Ongoing updates through the OASA website at stations and telematics stops

In order for the new eligible students to be informed about the capabilities of the electronic issue of the personalized cards, there will be, inter alia, ongoing announcements at the metro stations and telematic stop screens, while in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Secretariats of the Higher Education Institutions will be notified of the supporting documents and the procedures to be followed for the personalization and renewal of rights.
