Third Community Support Framework Operational Program “Competitiveness”

Optimize trips with Public Transport using the Internet application “Find Optimal Route”.

A new passenger information service named “Find Optimal Route” has been made available by OASA to the Public through its internet site.

This service is based on a software program which provides the user the optimal selection of public transport modes (buses, trolley buses, electrical railways, metro, tram and suburban railway) and routes to complete a specific trip.

The software program is connected to the huge transport network data base and uses complex algorithms to find the optimal combination of modes and routes in order to propose the best route from one point in the Attica basin to another. The user enters its origin and destination information and in as few seconds the optimal route is calculated and displayed on its screen.

The project, which has been implemented in the context of the Operational Program “Competitiveness” of the Third Community Support Framework (Technological Display Projects – PEPER), was called ADAMAS from the acronyms of the Greek project name words.

Development partners of ADAMAS was THESA SA.,MDM SA. and OASA SA.
